Cities throughout Harrison County saw significant gains in their sales tax collections this quarter compared to last year’s numbers, according to released-recently data from the Texas Comptroller’s Office.

In a press release issued earlier this month, Texas Comptroller Glenn Hegar said that state sales tax revenue in November was $2.998 billion, up 7.7 percent compared to November 2017.

“Good morning, guys. Welcome to Ollie’s…,” a smiling sales associate said, greeting customers, following a ribbon cutting ceremony, held to commemorate the occasion.

The store’s mascot, Ollie, also welcomed them.

The public is invited to come and commemorate as the renowned national retailer opens up its newest store in Marshall, at 1300 East Pinecrest Drive inside of Marshall Place, formerly known as Marshall Mall.
